Infant Care Specialist

What is an Infant Care Specialist /Baby Nurse /Newborn Care Specialist /Night Nanny?

These are different terminologies used to describe someone that assists parents and cares for infants during the night in your home. Our team at Sweet Dreams Infant Care includes Infant/Newborn Care Specialist, LPN’s, Postpartum Doulas and Registered Nurses, many having Postpartum and NICU hospital experience. Our Specialists have significant experience with multiples, premature babies and infants with special needs.

You can be sure that all our caregivers are properly vetted and their references have been checked. They all need a minimum of 2 years newborn care experience before they can work with us, they must have a current Flu, TDAP shot, COVID vaccinations and current Infant CPR & first aid.

We feel so strongly about sending you a qualified caregiver, we wrote a 375 – page manual that our team needs to read and test out on.

Each caregiver needs to complete a Baby 101 class from one of our NICU nurses, along with a Lactation support class from one of our Lactation counselors. Of course, we check their references and run their background checks as well.

We treat this as a very important job, and you will not find any agency more committed to your family’s wellbeing.  You are in good hands with our Sweet Dreams Team.

An Infant/Newborn Care Specialist /Baby Nurse is available to help you develop confidence; understanding and practical skills that will help you transition with your new family. Having one of our Certified Infant Care Specialist/Baby Nurses in your home can greatly support you in the early days of parenting. Our highly trained and experienced caregivers are there to help you get the rest you need to help you recover more quickly during the post-delivery period. All the while giving you peace of mind knowing your baby is being well cared for.

Our main office is located in the south suburbs, but our Sweet Dreams Team of caregivers are located throughout the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs. Our team serves the Chicagoland/North Shore, Will, Cook, DuPage, Kane, and Lake counties as well as most surrounding suburbs, including Northwest Indiana.

Having twins or multiples? No problem, we can help. Multiple Babies, means multiple feedings, multiple baths, and the need for multiple hands. Our team can assist you in setting up feeding and sleeping schedules, giving you peace of mind so you get the rest and support you need to enjoy your growing family.
